A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue - West Palm Beach Florida
About a year ago a family member of mine became a volunteer for A Second Chance, which is a non profit organization that rescues puppies, kittens and expectant mothers. Have you ever seen those cute puppies outside of Petco in Wellington Florida? Chances are those were puppies and volunteers from A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue.
A Second Chance is one of the largest NO-KILL rescue groups that doesn't have a shelter. All of the fostering, medical treatments, fundraising, baths and bottle feedings are done by generous people who volunteer their time to help save the lives of pets.
Even though A Second Chance rescues a lot of puppies and kittens each month, they won't just hand them over to anyone. They screen both foster parents along with the prospective adoptive parents in order to break the homeless animal cycle. This is a very time consuming process, but it helps find rescued pets their forever family. In order for any pet to be eligible for adoption they must have all their immunizations and be spay or neutered.
Mission Statement:
Devoted to saving pregnant and nursing dogs, cats and their offspring, keeping them in a safe, healthy, foster environment and finding them forever loving family.
