Trying to Sell your Home and have Pets?

wellington real estateEven though pets don't come with the sale of a home they do impact a buyer's opinion.  There is nothing worse than a fur ball tumbling by when you're showing a home.  Unless the seller has a pet that doesn't shed I think it's almost inevitable that there will be furvidence (fur evidence) somewhere in the house.

I am the proud owner of a beefcake Pug who sheds A LOT.  Even though he has short fur and I shave him regularly, he still sheds A LOT.  At one point I was vacuuming everyday trying to keep up with the furvidence until my dream man came into my life, his name is Roger and he's a robot, more specifically a Roomba.

A Roomba is a robotic vacuum cleaner and is a great option for pet owners to keep up with the never ending fur, dusk and debris.  I was skeptical at first, but the proof was in the debris bin.  Every time I left the house I would turn Roger on and when I got home I'd admire my clean floors.

wellington real estateThe only downside to Roger is he does need a new battery every 6-9 months, which cost about $70.  However I-Robot, the manufacturer, provides a warranty for the first year, which did cover my battery replacement.  Roomba's themselves aren't cheap either, the entry model starts at $130.00, but in my opinion it's well worth the investment.

So if you are selling your home and can't keep up with your pet's fur this is a great option.

This is NOT a paid endorsement by I-Robot, just a Realtor sharing the love she has for her robot.
