A few weeks ago I showed a gorgeous estate home in Wellington Florida and this guy greeted us at the door.  Since the first picture doesn't really show how big this grasshopper was I included a second picture below with my hand in it, but even that one STILL doesn't show how big this guy was since my hand was still a good foot away from him.

This past week my family and I went to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter FL and when we arrived at the turtle habitat all that went through my head was the song from Sesame Street "One of these things looks like the other, one of these things does not belong."

Portillo's in Chicago
I typically don't miss my hometown of Chicago especially during the winter time, but one thing I do miss is family, friends and the food.  Everytime we visit I gain weight from eating and eating and some more eating.  My husband recently made a trip up north and since I couldn't join him he brought back the best Italian Beef sandwich in the world from Portillo's.  Not sure what an Italian Beef Sandwich is, wiki it and in the description you will find "Italian beef, as served by Portillo's in Chicago."  Maybe next time I'll request a Chicago deep dish pizza.

Wednesday my youngest son turned 8 and since all of our family lives in the midwest birthdays in our household never last a day instead they last at least a week or two. Here is a shot of Aidan opening one of his many gifts this week, he is a very blessed little boy to receive so many phone calls, cards and gifts.

Palm Beach Florida Beach

One of the best perks about living in South Florida is being close to the Ocean, but my family and I rarely get there due to our busy schedule.  However this past week I took a new listing right by the Intracoastal and thought it would be the perfect excuse to hit the beach.  So when picture day came along I drug my family along, so we could head to the beach afterwards.  We didn't stay long, but it was a nice break and my boys loved it.

Last weekend my sons competitive soccer team attended Region Cup down in Miami Florida.  About half way through this season my son became his teams full-time goalie and has been doing awesome.  At last weekends tournment the other team had not one, but two penalty shots and Chase stopped them BOTH.

Tomorrow these handsome devils, my U9 Boys competitive soccer team, will be participating in another tournament.  Hopefully this weekend the rain and cold will stay away.  Although they won both their matches last time, so maybe the rain and cold are good luck.

Another one of Aidan's works of art is on display, this time it's at the front office of his elementary school.  When Aidan was in Kindergarten his first piece of art was on display downtown CityPlace in West Palm Beach at the Eg2 Art Gallery.  As his parent it's always exciting, but for Aidan he seems indifferent.
