My Kodak Moment: There never was a "Next Time"
In November 1998 I gave birth to my first son, Chase, and that Christmas was the first time a majority of my family would be meeting him since we lived in Illinois at the time and they lived in Wisconsin. This Christmas would go down in history because 5 generations would be gathering. Yes, Chase was the 5th living generation and was fortunate enough to have Great Great Grandparents who were alive, well and independent.

That year I took a ton of pictures of Chase with all of his grandparents, great grandparents and great great grandparents. However as we packed up that year I realized I didn't get a picture of Chase with my Great Grandpa, his Great Great Grandpa. I asked him to meet us downstairs for a quick picture, but he never came. I said to myself "I'll just get it next time, Chase is sleeping anyways," but something told me to track the busy body down, drag him downstairs and take the picture before we left, which I did. Little did I know that my great grandpa would unexpectedly pass away 7 days later.
Pictures are priceless and I'm so grateful that I was able to capture this Kodak moment of Chase, my cousin Christopher and my Great Grandfather Ted because there never was a "Next Time."
