Wellington FL Weather

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous in Wellington Florida, 70+ degrees, which is exactly why I live here.  However over the past week the temperature has finally started to drop into the 40's & 50's during the evening, so yesterday I pulled out my space heater.  I know the Northerner's will probably say that's t-shirt weather, but my comfort zone is between 78 to 82 degrees and apparently that's my pugs comfort zone too.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and I love spending it with family and friends, which is exactly what I did this year.   Now onto my other favorite holiday, which my boys can't wait for.... Christmas.

Will the Comeback Girls Advance Tomorrow?

If you didn't see the U.S. Women's National Soccer team play against Brazil this past Sunday you missed one of the most intense soccer games EVER and you didn't have to be a soccer fan to enjoy it either.  With just seconds to spare in stoppage time Abby Wambach scored the game tying goal in the 122nd minute forcing both teams to a shoot out, which the U.S. ended up coming out on top.  These ladies showed TRUE heart on Sunday playing a woman down and not giving up until literally the last second.  It just goes to show NEVER give up!

GO USA!  GO USA!  GO USA!

Today was a very exciting day in the Gibson family, my sister in-law just gave birth to a healthy baby boy.  Even though they live in the Chicago and we live in sunny Wellington between text messaging, facebook updates and phone calls we felt like we were right there with them.  I can't wait to meet this beautiful little guy and I'm over the moon that I finally have a nephew.  Now it's time to plan a trip to Chicago................brrrrr

It's always nice receiving a funny and/or complimentary e-mails from a client or in some cases a potential client.

TestimonialOne of the first things I do upon waking each morning is check my e-mail and a few weeks ago I woke to the following e-mail, which unlike most of my morning e-mails it made me chuckle and put a smile on my face.

"Hi Michelle,  You are quite wonderful, in addition to being more prompt than a 12 year-old at a Justin Bieber concert..." 

It's little e-mails like this that make my day and remind me why I love being a Realtor so much.

Wellington FL:  How Cold is it?

You probably can't tell by looking at this picture, but the temperature in Wellington Florida has dropped and I don't mean dropped to 70 degrees instead of 80.  I mean it dropped so much that I turned my heat on last night.  By nature I love the heat, so I'm usually cold if it's not 80 degrees, but I knew it was really cold outside when my husband said we needed to turn the heat on.  The low last night was suppose to be 34 degrees, not sure it made it that low because I didn't stick around to find out, but at 8:00pm it was around 50 degrees (brrrr).  Thankfully as the week goes on it's suppose to warm up again.  Stay warm!

Breaking & Entering:  I'll admit it I've tried it, have you?

The other night my family and I arrived home around 9:30pm and the power in our neighborhood was out. 

breaking and enteringI quickly realized I never had a new house key made after we changed the locks, so my only access was through the remote controlled garage door, the one that needs electricity.  My husband told me not to worry because our garage door opener has a back up battery, which is great as long as it works, which ours did not.  So here we were locked out of our own house contemplating what to do. 

Should we go to a friends, call a locksmith, sit and wait?  Ultimately we decided to wait for the power to come back on, but while doing so we tried breaking into our own home, which we were unsuccessful.  As annoyed as everyone at the time we were so happy that we couldn't even break into our own house.  Thankfully during our B & E attempt the power came back on and the next day I made sure to get a house key.

It doesn't appear that Edison Pena, one of the Chilean Miners, lost his spirit after being trapped for so long.
