Yesterday my son, Chase, participated in his first adventure race, the Superhero Scamble in Miami. It had 4 miles of wicked terrain and over 25 obstacles on top of the traditional running. This was Chase's first adventure race since he became "of age," which is 13 and I am sooooo proud of him.

The final standings: For overall men Chase finished 468 out of 1,315 and overall (boys, girls, men and women) he finished 716 out of 2,508. Although I'm not too surpised he did so well because he's been training for months, including every morning at 7:00am over spring break.
Here is just a portion of the race caught on film by our friends.........

A few weeks ago my fathers Chocolate Lab, Sheba, had 10 Labradoodle puppies and of course my boys had to see them. So the other day we went to visit the 10 puppies, which playing with all 10 was overwhelming, I know my boys would have happily kept all 10 if they had the opportunity.
On Monday my youngest son, Aidan, came home from school and said "I want to learn how to ride a bike." For years my husband and I have been trying to get him to ride a bike, but he's never had an interest. Last summer my husband and older son started mountain biking and I thought for sure Aidan would want to learn how to ride a bike, NOPE.
So I was very excited that he FINALLY wanted to learn. I took his bike off the rack and asked if he wanted help, which he didn't so I stood back. However instead of focusing on riding his bike he kept looking at me. I realized I must have been making him nervous, so I went in the house and spied on him from the window. Within a matter of minutes Aidan was riding his bike up and down the sidewalk.
Now all he wants to do is ride his bike rain or shine, which this picture happens to be of him riding in the rain. I guess he has to make up for lost time.
My older son, Chase, is the goalkeeper for his competitive soccer team and since it's breast cancer awareness month he wanted to honor of his grandmother, my mother, who is a breast cancer survivor. So a bought a pink goalkeeper jersey, pink hair dye and hot pink shoelaces.
