Wellington Summer Reading Program:  Mission Complete!

This summer there were two "Summer Reading Programs" in Wellington Florida that students could participate in:  Wellington Library Summer Reading Program & Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program.  Everyone and anyone could participate in the Wellington Library Summer Reading Program, but the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program did have an age limit.

Since my youngest son, Aidan, qualified for both programs he not only entered both he also completed BOTH.

Wellington Summer Reading Program
After finishing the Wellington Library Reading Program he received a certificate of completion along with two baseball tickets to Roger Dean Stadium and after completing the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program he was able to choose one book out of a great selection for FREE.

Wellington FL WinterFest 2010 - Who's headlining this year?

Wellington FL WinterFest 2010 is just around the corner and it was recently announced that Wellington Florida resident/ celebrity Robert Van Winkle, better known as Vanilla Ice will be the headline performer.

Wellington Florida WinterFest 2010Also lined up at this years WinterFest will be the annual holiday tree lighting, an antique car show and Mayor Darell Bowen will be reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Enjoy Music, Food and Fun at this years WinterFest 2010.

WHEN:  Saturday, December 4th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm

WHERE:  Wellington Florida Amphitheater

COST:  FREE
But residents are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots along with Vanilla Ice's toys for Tots 5th annual Charity Block Party.

Wellington WinterFest 2010 is being presented by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, International Polo Club Palm Beach and the Village of Wellington.
