Who will being Spreading H1N1 the most this Holiday Season?
This morning our local radio station made a list and checked it twice of who will be spreading H1N1 this holiday season. Much to my surprise the biggest culprit will be Mr. Claus, Santa Claus that is.
According to some recent news reports the man who spreads holiday cheer may also be spreading H1N1 this season. Not because Santa himself has H1N1, but because some of the children who visit him do.
A Doctor stated "If a child sits on Santa's lap and coughs and sneezes on Santa and the next kid coming along, if he touches that particular area, touches his face, eyes, anywhere, could spread the virus."
Many malls are taking precaution by placing disinfectant dispensers throughout the mall and around Santa. Some are even going to the extreme of having Elves pre-screen children for the flu, which could result in them being turned away if they shows signs of illness.
Hopefully parents who have sick children will refrain from taking them out in public.
Prevent getting H1N1 this season by washing your hands frequently, covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing, not touching your face and staying away from people who are already sick.
