World Cup News: Is Luiz Suarez a Hero or Villain?

world cup 2010Yesterday Uruguay and Ghana battled it out in the World Cup quarter-finals and it was an intense game up to the very last second.

The teams went on to 30 minutes of over time since the score was tied at 1-1 and with only a few seconds left Ghana's Dominic Adiyiah's headed the ball into Uruguay's goal, but before it crossed the goal line it was stopped by Uruguay's Luiz Suarez.

The only problem with this amazing save was Luiz Suarez is not the goalie for Uruguay, he is a forward.

Suarez was immediately red carded and sent off the field.

Ghana was given a plenty kick, which was missed and lead to a shoot out that Uruguay won 4-2.

World Cup News:  Another GREAT Commercial

It's been nearly impossible for me to keep up with all the World Cup matches, but I've been trying hard and throughout I've seen some incredible commericals.  Although out of all the matches I've seen so far I've only seen this commercial once, which features Landon Donovan.

 If you are not a soccer fan you may not find this as funny as I do, but if you are I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it, no pun intended.

World Cup News:  "Where's the Foul?"

June 18, 2010 - South Africa - Football - Slovenia v United States of America FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 - Group C - Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa - 18/6/10..USA's Benny Feilhaber and Michael Bradley (R) remonstrate with referee Koman Coulibaly (C) after Maurice Edu's (Not Pictured) goal was disallowed."Where's the foul?" was heard around the world yesterday after the USA tied Solvenia 2-2 because refree, Koman Coulibaly, disallowed the third goal scored by USA player Maurice Edu.  

Most people are still scratching their heads trying to figure out where the foul was.
