Florida will be having an Earth Day rebate program on Energy Star® appliances from April 16, 2010 to April 25, 2010 for all Florida residents. 
The state of Florida will be offering a 20% rebate on Energy Star® appliances; Clothes washers, refrigerators, dishwashers, room air conditioners and freezers.
In addition to the 20% rebate consumers may also receive an additional $75 if they provide evidence of recycling their old appliance.
This program is aimed towards making Florida homes more "energy-efficient," which in my opinion is a win win situation.
Unfortunately there is no guarantee of the rebate to be given because this will be on a first come, first serve basis until the money runs out.
