Olympia is
one of Wellington Florida's most desirable guard gated single family
and luxury estate home communities. From 2002 up
until now Minto has been constructing brand new homes in Olympia.
Like other communities throughout Wellington Florida property value
increased at a rapid rate in Olympia and reached it's peak in 2005 with
a median re-sale price of $534,900. Since 2006 property value
in Olympia has been decreasing, but the number of home sales has been
increasing. As of February
2012 Olympia is a SELLER'S MARKET, which means there are more
home buyers than homes for sale in Olympia.
The above
graph displays Olympia home sales for 2002 to 2011. The dark
purple shows the number of homes sold while the light purple shows the
median home sales price for that particular year. This graph
does NOT include all new construction. You will notice an increase in
the median sales price in 2010, which could most likely be contributed
to the First Time Home Buyer Tax credit that was offered in 2009
& 2010 and in my opinion re-engized the real estate market.
As of today there are 38 homes for sale in Olympia starting at $199,900
up to $2,100,000.
