The Goodwill Boutique and Donation Center in Wellington Florida is a retail shop and drop off donation center.  Located in the heart of Wellington you will find the Goodwill Boutique and Donation Center on the northeast corner of Greenview Shores Blvd and Wellington Trace.

The Goodwill Boutique retail shop is open daily from 9:00am to 7:00pm Monday thru Saturday and from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday.

If you would like to donate items to the Goodwill in Wellington you can do so at the back entrance of the store Monday thru Saturday 9:00pm to 5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm.  Just ring the doorbell and the nice people at Goodwill will help you unload your vehicle, they will also provide you with a tax donation slip.  *Please note you can only drop off items during donation drop off hours.

Wellington FL Utilities:  Need to Turn Your Water On?

If you need to turn your water on in Wellington Florida you can call the Village of Wellington at 561.791.4000 Monday-Thursday from 7:00am to 6:00pm or visit Wellington's City Hall.  In order for your water to be turned on in Wellington you will need to complete an application and put down a refundable deposit, which can be paid by cash, check, money order or credit card.  The Village of Wellington requests at least 24 hour notice for all new water services.

Wellington FL Utilities - Water Service in Wellington FLOnce your water is turned on you can pay your Wellington Water Bill Online, which is just another way the Village of Wellington is going green.

The Wellington Amphitheater has been an amazing addition to the Village of Wellington since it's opening in the summer of 2010.  Almost weekly the Wellington Amphitheater holds events like; FREE Movie Night, FREE Concert Night along with many other FREE Events.  A majority of Wellington's holiday events are also held at the Amphitheater, which is located on Forest Hill Blvd just west of 441 (SR7).

The Wellington Amphitheater's main building has approximately 3,200 square feet and features a main stage, complete with a full sound and lighting system.  It also has restrooms, green rooms, a loading area and has a capacity of 1,500.

Next to the Wellington Amphitheater is Scott's Place, a barrier free playground for children of all abilities, and on the other side of the parking lot is the Wellington Aquatic Complex, which is Wellington's summer hot spot.

September 11th, 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11, a day that will be remembered forever and a day that the Village of Wellington has chosen to commemorate by creating a beautiful Memorial.  The 9/11 Memorial in Wellington has rightfully been named the Patriot Memorial and is a place where people can honor and remember those who died in the September 11th attacks.

The Patriot Memorial in Wellington features a steel beam from the south tower of the World Trade Center, which was an exterior column panel seven floors below where United Airlines flight 175 impacted, to be exact it's steel beam C-46.  This steel beam arrived in Wellington Florida back on December 4th, 2010 and later that month was part of the holiday parade.

I recently visited the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, which is not located in Wellington, but I think it is a really cool place to visit.  Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a FREE zoo completely ran on donations that people make.   The Sanctuary has many animals like snakes, owls, turtles, bears, panthers, foxes, and many more animals.

When you enter Busch Wildfire Sanctuary there will be a picnic area to your right and a gift shop on your left, which has real animals inside like flying squirrels.

If you follow the trail there will be many turns and curves that lead you to different exhibits.  The trail has plenty of shade, restrooms and water fountains on the way.

One of the newest exhibits is the bear exhibit, which the trail can be found to the left of the main entrance.  At every exhibit there is a wooden box that says "Donations" on it. Here you can make donations to improve that exhibit.

This weekend my family and I went to the Wellington movie theater, Movies at Wellington, which is located on Wellington Trace in Wellington Florida.  This movie theater is great and plays all of the new movies.  There is a front desk outside were your buy your tickets and from there you go inside.

When inside there will be someone waiting to check your ticket, after that if you have a little bit of time until the movie starts they have a corner of arcade games.

Before you and your friends get settled in the huge theater room to watch the movies make sure to buy refreshments and snacks in the lobby.  The counter consists of popcorn, roasted nuts, candy, nachos, slushes, and refreshing beverages.

Wellington Aquatic Complex in Wellington Florida

The Wellington Aquatic Complex is a water park located on West Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington Florida and has one of the biggest pools in Wellington.

The aquatic complex has many attractions such as the water slides, diving boards, children play area, racing lanes for competitions, and one huge pool to sit and play in.

There are two water  slides; the green water slide has no top on it and has several twists and turns while the orange water slide has a top on it and only has two turns.

There are two diving boards, both the same height and are located in the 12 foot section of the pool, which is the deepest area.  They have two play areas for toddlers and other small children.  The complex has racing lanes that you can use to practice racing.

The Wellington Aquatic Complex was recently remodel; they added a score board, stairs and ramps, food stand and a tanning area.
