Last year our collection of soccer equipment was so out of control that my family and I decided we needed to donate some of it, but where? So the hunt for a place to donate our used soccer equipment began and I found The National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS), which is a non-profit organization located right here in Palm Beach County Florida that collects all types of sporting equipment.
While I thought some of our equipment may have been a little too worn to donate the people at NAYS assured me that it wasn't and another little boy or girl would love it. So even if you think your used sporting equipment might be garbage I still recommend donating it NAYS and let them be the judge.
Here is just some of the equipment that NAYS will accept:
Baseballs- Softballs
- Basketballs
- Soccer Balls
- Volleyballs
- Tennis Balls
- Mits/Gloves
- Bats
- Tennis Racquets
- Ball Pumps
- Cleats
- Running Shoes

I do the same thing with our old baseball eequipment. Sometimes you don't just want to donate certain things to the regular donation sites so searching the Interenet for a specialized donation drop off, like used soccer equipment or used football eequipment, will help almost always turn up local area places to donate. It is surprising how many people don't do this.

Wow, sounds like you could start your own resale shop. Bet there others in your predicament who will now thank you for sharing this!

We have several used sporting stores here. I finally donated my old tennis rackets to one. I’m too old to play tennis anymore.
Michelle- I grew up in a house of five children and all of us were atheletes so my mom used to do the exact same thing with our old sporting equipment. There are always other children out there who are in desperate need and can't afford to purchase the equipment new. Great idea.
Terrie - I agree, we typically donate items to one of the local churches, but when it comes to sports equipment I want to make sure children in need get it.
Jeff - We have 40-50 soccer balls at any given time and before I last donation it was closer to 80
Jim - You an me both :)
Margie - Absolutely and with NAYS I know it's getting to these kids.
